Jamie Keener wears many hats. He is a certified planner and the senior sales executive for the engineering firm of Herbert Rowland and Grubic. He is the immediate past chair of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce. He is a Little League coach and father.
His do-it-all nature explains why Jamie considers himself “personable,” “driven,” and “always looking to make changes to help other people.”
Born and raised in Shippensburg, Jamie first joined HRG in 2005 in its office in the Pocono region.
Jamie says he was attracted to RSR because it sells both residential and commercial properties, and it has a smaller, family-oriented focus. And, in a turn of good fortune, one of his long-time friends works there.
"Real estate, engineering and business development go hand in hand," Jamie says. "In helping townships with land use planning, land development, and zoning issues every day, this added role will fit in nicely with my career and community service."
"At HRG, I help with a wide array of commercial, retail and industrial projects. At RSR, I will be able to do the same for my clients from another perspective, and a broader view."
Jamie is a 1987 graduate of Bucknell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography. He also led the Chamber of Commerce in the Poconos area before moving here in 2012 and was active in the United Way in the Poconos area.
"On the business side, my goals have been about building relationships and increasing net worth for my clients," Jamie says. "On the personal side, it's about building friendships."
Jamie is a father of three and a resident of Hampden Township, where he applies his land use planning skills as a member of the Zoning Hearing Board. He has coached both basketball and baseball in the Hampden Township area for more than 10 years.
"I love Central Pennsylvania for its sense of community. People have common ideals--common backgrounds-- and you can always count on people when you need them," Jamie says, adding that, despite its newer roadways, retail shops, and residential communities, he loved the area's "sense of tradition."
In addition to sports, he loves to hunt, fish and golf – and to help those in need.
"I want to give back."
